PK Engineering is recruiting a Quality Technician Apprentice to join its Quality and Engineering team. The role is hands-on and focuses on quality control, production support and engineering documentation.
You will carry out in-process and final inspections, support preparation of inspection reports, perform dimensional checks, trace parts using serial/part tracking, and assist with PPAP submissions and balloon drawings.
The apprenticeship includes off-the-job training with Sandwell College (MET Centre) and day-release study: one day per week at the MET Centre and the remainder of training on-the-job at PK Engineering. The programme leads to a Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician qualification, includes mentorship and college support for NVQ/assignments, and runs for approximately 3 years 6 months.
Start date is Tuesday 18 November 2025.
Hours are 40 per week (Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00; Friday 07:30-13:30 or 08:00-14:00) with 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Pay is £15,704 for the first year (may increase depending on age). Location: PK ENGINEERING (WB) LTD, 2-3 Exchange Works, Kelvin Way, West Bromwich, B70 7JW.
