Queen Mary University of London Why Higher Education? Workshop

This workshop introduces Year 10 students to the value of higher education and the different ways university can support their academic, personal and career development. It is designed to help learners understand what university involves and how it may connect with their future goals.

Students will explore the benefits of higher education, including the opportunities it can open up and the variety of study options available. The session also helps young people think about how different universities and courses compare, and how those choices might shape their next steps.

The workshop is aimed at learners who are starting to consider post-school pathways and want a clearer picture of university life. It encourages students to reflect on their ambitions and how higher education could support them in working towards those ambitions.
