Take part in an in-person launch, online study skills sessions and an academic summer school through this university access programme. You’ll explore university life and build skills for future study, with at least two events expected, including the launch and summer school.

Access to Queen Mary is a widening participation programme from Queen Mary University of London for students who meet the university’s eligibility criteria. It is designed to support participants with the transition to higher education through a blend of events, study skills support and academic enrichment.

Successful students are expected to take part in at least two events, including an in-person launch event, the Study Skills strand and the academic summer school. The Study Skills element includes online sessions and courses, and participants are strongly encouraged to attend additional Queen Mary and Access to Queen Mary events where possible.

The programme is aimed at students who may benefit from support in exploring university life, building confidence and developing the skills needed for future study.

Applications are assessed against Queen Mary’s core requirements and widening participation criteria. If a place is offered, the university may contact a named school contact and a parent or carer as part of the participation process.
