Apply NowWant to kickstart a career in security? Join a paid youth internship that gives mentorship, hands-on safety training and real skills—situational awareness, de‑escalation, CPR, report writing—so you can build experience, boost your CV and follow a clear pathway to licensed officer work at 18.
Youth Protection Academy is a paid security internship for students aged 14-17. It is designed for high-schoolers who want an early start in the security field and combines mentorship, safety training, and a clear pathway toward licensed officer work at age 18.
Participants learn practical skills such as situational awareness, de-escalation, professional communication, report writing, CPR/first-aid fundamentals, and emergency-response basics. The programme is structured in phases, beginning with classroom-based foundations, then moving into supervised shadow rotations at low-risk sites, and finishing with a capstone project and evaluations.
The internship is age-appropriate throughout and requires guardian approval, with checks for school standing and any necessary work permit before a cohort begins. Students are always supervised, never armed, and never placed in high-risk roles.
By graduation, participants receive a certificate of completion, a written supervisor reference, and priority consideration for a licensed officer role when they turn 18.
