QYC Technical is Queen’s Theatre’s technical young company, offering hands-on training in the practical side of theatre production. Members explore the principles behind sound, lighting, stage management, set design and costume design, gaining experience of the technical processes that bring a production to life.

The programme develops problem-solving skills and gives young people the chance to operate equipment under the guidance of the theatre’s professional technical team. It is designed for those who want to build confidence, learn technical theatre skills and take a more specialised route within the performing arts.
