Spend a day observing plain film imaging in a hospital radiography department. See how the team supports diagnosis and patient care, and get an insight into the skills and patient-facing responsibilities involved.

This one-day work experience placement introduces students to plain film imaging in the radiography department. It is designed to give a practical sense of how radiography services support diagnosis and patient care in a hospital environment.

The placement takes place during the working week from 9am until 5pm. Students observe the department in action and get an insight into the skills, teamworking and patient-facing responsibilities involved in radiography.

This is aimed at post-17 students preparing for further study and a university route into the profession.
