Reach Cambridge is a residential summer school in Cambridge for ambitious 14 6-8-year-old high-school students seeking academic exploration and a university-style experience. Programs run in 2-, 4- and 6-week blocks and combine small-group classes, lectures, seminars, workshops and afternoon/evening activities.
Participants live in University of Cambridge college accommodation and take part in excursions to cultural destinations such as London and Oxford. Students choose a main subject from a broad menu (Medicine, Law, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Creative Writing, and more) and may add up to two optional Taster Courses per two-week block (examples: Cybersecurity & AI, Philosophy, Pre-Hospital Medicine).
Typical delivery includes around 20 hours of structured tuition per week, guest lectures, leadership and university-preparation workshops, and an assessed academic report at the end of the course. The programme emphasises pastoral care and safety (24/7 supervision, strong staff-to-student ratios), cultural immersion through excursions and social activities, and a certificate of completion.
Fees vary by programme length and extras; applications are rolling until sessions fill and places are secured by a deposit.
