EcoSwell's Renewable Energy Volunteer Intern role offers hands-on involvement in designing, installing and maintaining small-scale renewable energy projects in Lobitos, northern Peru. Interns take ownership of projects and may work on designing renewable energy solutions, researching mechanical and electrical approaches, assisting with installations and upkeep, and managing material budgets in coordination with EcoSwell directors.
An online participation option is available for those who cannot join in person; online interns undertake feasibility studies, research sustainability solutions, data monitoring/analysis and report or grant writing. Online participants also have access to educational seminars run by EcoSwell directors covering NGO creation and management, outreach and business development, marketing, sustainability perspectives and international environmental/social standards.
The placement is intended for candidates with an interest or background in renewables and sustainable development. Benefits highlighted include practical, career-relevant experience in an international development NGO, working with a multidisciplinary team, and living/working in Lobitos.
