Want to build real-world engineering skills at Oxford? Join a two-week on-campus summer school to explore civil, mechanical and electrical projects, learn robotics and alternative energy, and connect with academics - boost your skills, UCAS/career prospects and practical experience.

The Oxford Engineering: Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Summer School (ages 16-18) gives students a two-week, on-campus immersive introduction to core engineering disciplines. Delivered at one of the University of Oxford colleges, the programme combines daily academic workshops, lectures and project labs focused on civil, mechanical and electrical engineering, with sessions on emerging technologies such as robotics and alternative energy.

Students engage in hands-on engineering projects and design challenges to develop problem-solving, teamwork and leadership skills. The timetable mixes morning lessons and afternoon design workshops with evening social and cultural activities; the course concludes with a graduation ceremony and certificate.

Tutors and guest speakers from academic and industry backgrounds contribute to the curriculum.

This residential programme is suitable for prospective engineering and technology undergraduate applicants (ages 16-18). The offering includes full-board accommodation, 24/7 on-campus supervision, course materials, progress reports and a certificate of completion.

International students may apply and an airport transfer option (additional cost) is available.
