Apply NowGuildhall School of Music & Drama runs a two-week Residential Drama Summer School for young people aged 13-17. The programme is delivered at Freemen's School in Surrey and is led by industry-experienced Guildhall tutors, including course tutor Fred Lancaster.
Participants explore acting and theatre-making, develop performance and life skills, and work in a safe, supportive environment with professional teaching. There are two date options in 2026: Course 1 runs Monday 13 July to Friday 24 July; Course 2 runs Monday 27 July to Friday 7 August.
The course is fully residential (accommodation and meals included) and spaces are limited. Booking is via Guildhall's online short courses booking portal; enquiries can be sent to shortcourses@gsmd. ac.
uk. Fees: early bird £3,095 until 20 February; standard fee £3,295 from 21 February. Bookings close at 5pm on Friday 1 May 2026 or when courses reach capacity.
The programme is aimed at young people passionate about acting and theatre-making and is suitable for those wanting focused, intensive practical training over two weeks.
