Serve customers and work the till, or prepare donated items for sale in a hospice charity shop. You could also create displays, keep the store welcoming and help sell raffle tickets, with training provided for the till and Gift Aid.
Join the friendly retail team at St Richard’s Hospice’s Evesham shop and help keep the store running smoothly while raising vital funds for hospice care. Volunteers may work on the shop floor serving customers and working on the till, or behind the scenes in the sorting room, where donations are inspected, steamed, labelled and prepared for sale.
The shop sells a wide range of pre-loved and new items, including homeware, fashion, sports and outdoor pursuits items, bric-a-brac, plus a vintage and retro section and a large book selection.
The role also includes merchandising displays, keeping the shop tidy and inviting, and helping with raffle ticket sales when the raffle is open. St Richard’s Hospice says training and support are provided, including help with using the till and promoting Gift Aid.
Volunteering here is a chance to meet new people, build skills, strengthen your CV and make a real difference to patients and their loved ones. If you are interested, you can email the volunteer team, call for a chat, or complete the volunteer application form.
