Serve customers on the shop floor and at the till, while sorting donations and preparing pre-loved and new items for sale. You’ll also get till and Gift Aid training, and every sale supports hospice care for patients and loved ones.
Join the friendly team at Broadway Shop and help support St Richard's Hospice by keeping the shop running smoothly. Volunteers play an important part in creating a welcoming environment for customers while helping raise funds for hospice care.
The shop stocks quality pre-loved and new items, and every sale contributes to the hospice's work with patients and their loved ones.
Volunteer tasks include serving customers on the shop floor and at the till, sorting and preparing donations for sale, and helping with steaming, labelling and pricing items. You may also help with merchandising, window displays, raffle ticket sales when the raffle is open, and processing donations in line with hospice policy.
The role suits people who enjoy customer service, teamwork and practical tasks. Training is provided for till use and Gift Aid promotion, and breaks are available if you are active for several hours. This is an in-person volunteering opportunity at the Broadway shop, with the shop manager as the line manager.
