RKE Festival Day 5 - Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing is a themed day of the Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) Festival focused on developments in engineering, digital manufacturing, automation and sustainable materials. Visitors can tour specialist laboratories, witness live demonstrations and network with academic researchers and industry partners at the University of Lancashire's Engineering Innovation Centre.
The event takes place in-person on Friday 22 May 2026 (08:30-16:00) and features a programme of activities including a Business Breakfast for engineering and manufacturing organisations, a photo exhibition showcasing research, and a Research Unleashed showcase with posters, short films, experiments and interactive exhibits. Many sessions are drop-in between set times (for example, exhibitions running between 09:00-15:00).
The festival is free to attend and is aimed at the general public, businesses, and university staff and students. Attendees are encouraged to register for tickets via the Eventbrite listing and may drop in to exhibitions during the stated times.
