Want to elevate your ballet? Join the Royal Academy of Dance South East Awards 2026 - showcase technique and musicality in masterclass-style heats, build performance skills, and aim for the final at RAD headquarters in London. Enter via your RAD teacher.

The Royal Academy of Dance South East Awards 2026 is an open-level ballet competition for RAD students in the South East of England. Participants take part in a non-syllabus masterclass-style ballet session where they can showcase classical technique, musicality and performance skills alongside their peers.

Heats take place across the South East region with a final held at the RAD headquarters in London.

Candidates must be entered by their RAD-registered teacher, who will submit entries and provide RAD membership and student exam ID as part of eligibility checks. The participation fee is £35 per candidate and payment is required at registration.

Finalists can win prizes of up to £200 to support their training. Audience tickets for the final will be available (£5 each), with booking opening in March 2026.

Duration: County heats on listed dates between 25 January and 1 March 2026; final on 10 May 2026 (one-day events).

Various venues across the South East (e.g., St Marks Church Hall, Purley; The Dance Studio, Barton Peveril College, Eastleigh; Uckfield College; ARTS 1, Milton Keynes). Final: Aud Jebsen Studio Theatre, RAD headquarters, 188 York Road, London SW11 3JZ.
  • Students studying with an RAD teacher in the South East of England.
  • Age between 7 and 17 (students under age 7 are not eligible).
  • Candidates must meet the required level of study and minimum age by the closing date of 8 December 2025.
  • Candidates must be entered by their RAD-registered teacher (teacher must provide RAD membership number and the student's exam ID).
  • Places are regional (South East region) and entry is via the regional heats.

Participation fee £35 per candidate. Payment is required at the time of registering to secure a place in the heats.
