Explore a bladeless propulsion system for vertical take-off and landing aircraft in a lecture led by its president, CEO and CTO. See how fluidics could drive aircraft control and propulsion, from urban air mobility to cargo and regional transport.
Manchester Branch: Jetoptera is a lecture hosted by the Royal Aeronautical Society at the University of Manchester. The talk explores Jetoptera’s Fluidic Propulsive System and the wider possibilities of bladeless propulsion for vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
It looks at how fluidics can be used not only for aircraft control, but as a propulsion method in its own right, with applications in urban air mobility, cargo, regional transport and other missions where conventional rotorcraft face limits.
The lecture is delivered by Dr Andrei Evulet, President, CEO and CTO of Jetoptera. He discusses the technology behind the company’s upper-surface-blown wing concept, the performance advantages claimed for the system, and the way this approach may open up quieter, faster and safer aircraft designs.
The event is an in-person lecture in Lecture Theatre B, Roscoe Building, and is aimed at people interested in aerospace engineering, VTOL aircraft and future flight technologies.
