Hear Libby Jackson, Head of Space at the Science Museum, unpack why humans are heading back to the Moon and what a lasting presence there could mean for space exploration and life on Earth. Attend in person or online, followed by a networking buffet.
This Leslie Bedford Lecture explores the renewed human drive to return to the Moon and asks why lunar exploration matters now. The event brings together engineering, science and strategic questions around the missions, spacecraft and ambitions shaping the next phase of space travel.
The lecture is delivered by Libby Jackson OBE FRAeS, Head of Space at the Science Museum, who will discuss what humans may do once they reach the Moon, how a sustained presence there could develop, and what the wider implications might be for space exploration and life on Earth. It is a hybrid event hosted at Airbus Defence and Space in Stevenage, with both in-person and online attendance available, and will be followed by a networking buffet.
