Hear how one family sent nine members to war across 106 years, from the Battle of Britain to later RAF and Commonwealth aviation stories. Join an in-person lecture at Brooklands Museum Clubhouse; Certificates of Attendance are available on request.
This Royal Aeronautical Society Weybridge Branch event combines the Branch AGM with a lecture by Anthony Inglis Howard-Williams ARCM. The talk tells the story of his own family, which sent nine members to war over 106 years.
Their service includes RAF, RFC and RNAS connections, and the presentation ranges from the Battle of Britain to later RAF and Commonwealth aviation stories.
The evening begins with the AGM, followed by the main lecture. It is an in-person event at Brooklands Museum Clubhouse, and the atmosphere is intended to be welcoming to both members and non-members. A private bar is available from early evening, with food available in advance and drinks paid for by card.
Attendance is open to all, with a small entry donation requested at the door. Certificates of Attendance are available on request for professional or CPD purposes, making the event suitable for anyone interested in aviation history, RAF heritage, or a public lecture in a museum setting.
