London Anthropology Day is an annual free university taster day organised by the Royal Anthropological Institute. It is designed for Year 12, Year 13 and FE students, as well as students thinking about a Master's degree, and also welcomes careers advisers, teachers and parents.
The event offers a chance to explore anthropology as a subject and to understand what studying it at university can be like. Attendees can try out lectures and workshops, speak with lecturers and professors, and hear directly from students about their experiences.
The day also highlights the wider opportunities that anthropology can open up, including academic study and careers shaped by anthropological knowledge and research. The programme includes taster workshops led by universities, stalls where visitors can talk to staff and current students, and careers panels featuring professionals working in anthropology-related fields.
It is aimed at anyone who wants to learn more about the subject, university life, and possible future pathways in the discipline.
Booking is free but essential.
