Present a five-minute talk on ideas linking people, planet and partnership to the geography curriculum. Share concise, well-referenced student research individually or in pairs, then take questions at a public Peterborough event.

Closes in 5 days

The Peterborough microlectures are a short-form lecture event hosted by Dr Peter Brotherton, Director of Science and Climate Change at Natural England. The programme features brief talks by students on topics linked to ‘People, planet and partnership’ within the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with a strong emphasis on ideas that connect to the geography curriculum.

Students are invited to submit a talk title and a short synopsis, then present a talk lasting no more than five minutes. Talks may be given individually or in pairs, and each presentation is followed by a short question-and-answer session.

The format is designed to showcase concise, well-referenced student research and ideas in an engaging public setting.

The event is open to all and takes place in Peterborough. Anyone wishing to present must provide the required details by email and also complete advance booking through the Royal Geographical Society website.
