Create a public display for Somerset House while exploring printmaking, sculpture and collage in free weekly workshops at the National Maritime Museum. You’ll visit other museums and galleries, work towards a Bronze or Silver Arts Award, and get art materials and snacks.

Closes 19 December 2026

Join Royal Museums Greenwich’s Saturday Art Club for weekly creative workshops at the National Maritime Museum. The club is for young people aged 13 to 16 who live, work or study in Greenwich, and it offers a regular chance to build confidence, make friends and develop creative skills in a supportive group setting.

Participants can explore a range of techniques including printmaking, sculpture and collage, while also discovering museum stories, themes and collections. The club includes visits to other museums and galleries, and members work towards a Bronze or Silver Arts Award as part of the programme.

The workshops are free to attend, with art materials and snacks provided. The club also supports young people with travel costs for trips outside the Museum. As a final creative outcome, members help design and create a public display for Somerset House, giving them the chance to share their work with a wider audience.
