The RVC Easter School is a free, non-residential two-day introduction to higher education hosted at the Royal Veterinary College Camden Campus. It is aimed at current Year 10 pupils from under-represented backgrounds who meet RVC's Widening Participation eligibility and live within a 50 mile radius of the Camden or Hawkshead campuses.
The programme gives students a taste of university life and teaching in world-class laboratories.
Participants will take part in animal handling and practical sessions, investigate animal anatomy, and experience subject-focused teaching relevant to Biological Sciences, Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Nursing. Students are supported throughout by RVC Student Ambassadors and staff, and have opportunities to build networks with peers who share an interest in animal health and welfare.
The programme is limited to up to 50 pupils. The Year 10 Easter School covers food, on-campus refreshments, transport to and from the campus, and all equipment and activities. Applications open/close are listed as TBC on the RVC page; interested teachers, advisers or learners can register interest via the online form or contact schools@rvc.
