Samworth Brothers - Food Technical Degree Apprenticeship

Join Samworth Brothers as a Food Technical Degree Apprentice and combine paid on-the-job work with block-release degree study. Over a 3-year integrated Level 6 programme you’ll work across technical teams to support food safety, product development, packaging and shelf-life compliance while gaining a BSc (Hons) in Food Science and Technology from Sheffield Hallam University.

Most of your time will be spent working at one of the employer sites (options include Callington, Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Manchester, Worksop and Shoreham-by-Sea) with structured block release to Sheffield Hallam University (4 days at a time, five times a year). Typical duties include implementing HACCP systems, interpreting microbiological results, designing process controls, and leading small technical teams on site.

The role is full-time (40 hours per week) and the apprenticeship lasts three years.
