This is a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician apprenticeship with TruckEast based in Peterborough (PE1 5PS). Apprentices spend most of their time working on the job, gaining hands-on experience servicing, maintaining and repairing Scania heavy vehicles and a range of associated mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
The role includes learning diagnostics, inspection and quality checks, keeping job cards and service sheets, and representing the company professionally when dealing with customers.
Training is delivered in partnership with REMIT Group and includes attendance at Scania’s national training academy for 16 separate weeks over the 32-month programme; all travel and hotel accommodation for academy weeks are paid by the employer. On completion you will achieve the IMI Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician qualification and IRTEC accreditation.
The apprenticeship includes employer-provided equipment (tablet and toolbox), funded training, mentor support and a range of employee benefits.
The programme starts Monday 6 July 2026, runs for approximately 2 years 8 months, and offers one position. Working hours are Monday-Friday (40 hours a week). Applicants are expected to meet the GCSE requirements in English and Maths and demonstrate mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and enthusiasm to learn.

£16,640 per year
£16,640 a year. Salary ranges between £16,640 - £22,568 dependent on age and is reviewed yearly.
