Join TruckEast Scania as a Bodyshop Apprentice and begin a hands-on career in the automotive industry working on heavy commercial vehicles. You will spend most of your time learning on the job, inspecting vehicle damage, deciding on repair or replacement, removing and refitting body panels, and carrying out dent, rust and filler repairs to achieve manufacturer standards.

The apprenticeship starts on 15 June 2026 and lasts 2 years 8 months. Apprentices work 8:00am-4:30pm Monday to Friday (40 hours a week, shifts may vary) at Venture Road, Lawn Farm Business Park, Woolpit (IP30 9RZ).

Training is provided by Remit Group Limited and delivered in the workplace with block release at the Remit Automotive Academy in Derby; you will be required to stay in a hotel for 12 separate weeks (Monday-Friday) over the programme. All associated training costs are met by the employer.

Requirements include GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade 4/C. The role will lead to IMI-recognised qualifications and Scania accreditation opportunities on successful completion. Salary starts at £16,640 per year (dependent on age, with a reviewed range up to £22,568).
