PLYMOUTH ARGYLE FOOTBALL IN THE COMMUNITY TRUST
Want to turn your love of sport into a paid apprenticeship? Join Plymouth Argyle Trust in Camborne to plan and deliver sessions, support pupils (including additional needs), run clubs and events - build coaching skills, real experience and career routes into sports or education.
This is a paid apprenticeship with Argyle Community Trust based at Cornwall College Sports Centre, Camborne Campus and in local community/school settings. The role is hands-on: you will assist with planning, delivering and clearing away physical activity sessions, support small groups and individuals (including those with additional needs), help run lunchtime and after-school sports clubs, support off-site sporting events and accompany students on educational visits.
You will also be involved in administration duties such as bookings, transport arrangements, marketing and social media.
As an apprentice you will be supported with formal training and off-the-job learning, including a Level 2 Community Activator Coach qualification and a Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid, with monthly face-to-face education days at Foulston Park Hub, Plymouth. The apprenticeship includes professional development around safeguarding, inclusion, health & safety and community engagement, preparing you for further progression into higher-level sports coaching or school-based PE roles.
The role is 30 hours per week with working hours generally between 08:30 and 17:00 Monday to Friday and some weekend work required. The advertised start date is Monday 1 December 2025.
