Join local poet Garry MacKenzie for a poetry walk through the Scottish Fisheries Museum galleries, where words, history and heritage come together. Held in connection with the temporary exhibition John Bellany: Anchored, the event uses selected poems to explore the museum’s displays and the cultural history of the Firth of Forth and its fishing communities.
As you move through the galleries, the readings bring objects and stories to life, shining a creative light on traditional boat design, the history of fisherlasses and the coast of the East Neuk. The walk is designed for anyone with an interest in poetry or Scottish heritage, and finishes with hot drinks and nibbles, offering time to chat with Garry and reflect on the readings in a relaxed museum setting.
