Build a practical design project in a four-hour workshop led by an artist and creative practitioner. Learn to interpret a brief, develop concepts, make models, use 3D CAD and present your ideas, with the session held in person in Salisbury.
Architecture Made Simple is a four-hour intensive creative workshop for students and school leavers who are interested in Art, Architecture, Design or Construction. It offers a quick and accessible introduction to design and architectural practice, with a practical focus that can help build a foundation for undergraduate study and related creative pathways.
Led by Tim Scrace, an artist and creative practitioner, the session introduces a range of useful skills including interpreting a brief, developing ideas and concepts, model making, 3D CAD design, drawing techniques and presentation. Alongside the theory, participants complete a practical project so they can apply what they learn straight away.
The workshop is aimed at people aged 16 to 25, including those already at university and those still deciding on a future direction. It is limited to 20 participants and takes place in person at the Old Fire Station Enterprise Centre in Salisbury.
Subsidised spaces are available, supporting wider access to art and architecture.
