A scriptwriting workshop led by Ed Viney, writer and Festival Director of The Script’s The Thing. Using the Helios exhibition as inspiration, participants will work on scripting a short scene and develop character, dialogue and script presentation techniques.
Writers will workshop their ideas during the session and then have a few days to write before submitting scripts later in the week. Submitted pieces will be rehearsed and performed by actors on Thursday 2 April at 19:30; attendance at the workshop is a requirement for submission.
Places are limited to 20 participants, and the session is suitable for anyone aged 16 and over interested in drama, comedy, suspense or stage writing. The event takes place at the Town Hall (upstairs at the Dorchester Corn Exchange, DT1 1HF).
Tickets are available online via the booking link or by telephone; concessionary prices apply for under-18s, students and those on low incomes where offered.
