Train to support a charity shop team at weekends, learning fire procedures, opening and closing the shop when needed, and cashing up the till. Build your skills with full training and ongoing support, with reasonable volunteer expenses reimbursed.
Sense is recruiting a weekend Key Volunteer for its Marple Shop. The role is part of the charity’s work supporting disabled people with complex needs, helping create a welcoming environment where people can connect, feel included and be part of the community.
As a Key Volunteer, you will support the shop team at weekends and take on responsibilities after training. Typical tasks include learning and following fire procedures, opening and closing the shop when needed, and cashing up the till at the end of the day.
There is also the opportunity to train as a till user and progress into a more responsible volunteer role over time.
The role suits someone who enjoys working with others, wants to build new skills, and is happy to contribute regularly. Sense offers full training, ongoing support, a reference for future applications, support from Mental Health First Aiders if needed, and reimbursement of reasonable volunteer expenses.
