Welcome customers, sort donated stock and create shop displays while supporting a charity helping people with complex needs connect with their communities. You’ll get training, ongoing support and the chance to progress to till user or Key volunteer, plus access to Mental Health First Aiders.
Sense is looking for a Shop Volunteer to join its Grimsby shop team. The role supports a disability charity that helps people with complex needs to connect with others and take part in their communities. Volunteers work alongside friendly staff and other volunteers in a welcoming shop environment.
Typical tasks include greeting and assisting customers, receiving donated items, sorting and preparing stock, creating attractive displays, keeping the shop floor clean and safe, and talking to customers about Sense’s work. The role is designed for people who enjoy working with others, are positive and respectful, and want to help build a more inclusive world.
Sense also offers opportunities to develop further, including training to become a till user or progressing into a Key volunteer role. Volunteers receive full training, ongoing support, the chance to meet new people, a reference for future applications, and access to Mental Health First Aiders if needed.
