This apprenticeship places you in a hands-on IT Service Desk role where you will provide end-user desktop support, maintain Windows and Mac desktops and servers, and support Office 365 and G Suite solutions. Key duties include setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops, troubleshooting hardware and software incidents, incident and problem management, and installing and supporting business applications.
You will be employed at Vizst Technology (Unit A, Acorn Office Park, Ling Road, Poole, BH12 4NZ) and study with the training provider QA Limited. The programme leads to an Information Communications Technician Level 3 qualification and includes specialist training time away from the workplace.
Tools and technologies covered include Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows 10, AWS, Linux and PowerShell. The apprenticeship is full time (37 hours 30 minutes per week) and is due to start on 2025-11-25 with a stated duration of 1 year 5 months.
Essential entry requirements are listed as GCSEs (3 subjects at grade 4+ and Maths & English at grade 3+). Company benefits are listed including private medical cover and a free lunch on Wednesdays. There is potential to progress to a Level 4 apprenticeship depending on performance.
