SETU Try Tourism and Hospitality

Try Tourism and Hospitality is a taster event from South East Technological University for students who want to explore the world of hospitality management and tourism. It gives attendees the chance to spend a day experiencing SETU’s learning environment, seeing the university’s facilities and meeting the people behind the programmes.

The event is aimed at students who are considering further study and want to find out whether tourism and hospitality is the right path for them. Participants can meet current students and graduates, hear from local hoteliers about their career journeys, and get an insight into the range of opportunities available in the sector.

The day includes interactive, hands-on workshops in areas such as barista skills, mocktail making, restaurant service and front office operations. It finishes with lunch in Seasons, SETU’s training restaurant, so students can experience a professional hospitality setting firsthand.
