Severn Trent Sustainability: Water Industry Virtual Work Experience is a virtual programme that introduces students to life and careers at one of the UK’s largest water companies. It explores how clean and safe water services support homes, workplaces and schools, while showing the role Severn Trent plays in the community and the region it serves.

The programme covers a mix of STEM, business and operations themes. You’ll learn about the science behind water, including the water cycle, sustainability and technology, and discover the kinds of roles involved in keeping a large water company running.

It also highlights how the business side of the organisation works, alongside the practical responsibilities of operations teams. Alongside the career insights, the programme includes interactive activities, webinars and employability support to help build confidence and transferable skills.

It is designed to be completed online and at your own pace, and participants receive a certificate of completion when they finish.
