Ready to dive into real-world conservation? Join Projects Abroad in Fiji to conduct shark surveys, earn PADI certification, support mangrove restoration and community outreach, and gain field research skills that boost your uni or career prospects.

Join a field-based marine conservation project in Pacific Harbour, Fiji, working alongside scientists and dive partners to collect data on sharks and other marine life. Volunteers take part in survey dives, bi-monthly shark dives, mangrove reforestation, community outreach and education, data entry and workshops.

The project includes full training: beginners complete the PADI Open Water course during the first two weeks, while experienced divers may complete Advanced or Rescue courses. The placement is supervised by qualified marine biologists and local professionals and runs year-round with a minimum two-week stay.
