This is a week-long work experience placement with Sheffield Theatres for school students in Years 10 to 13. Participants get a snapshot of several theatre departments and work alongside professionals in a range of roles, doing something new each day and gaining a broader understanding of how the industry operates.
Students also work towards a Bronze Arts Award during the placement. Applicants are shortlisted for an interview workshop before the placement begins, and the programme is only able to accommodate students from the Sheffield area.
It is designed for young people who want hands-on experience in a creative, live-performance environment.

Apply by 19 November 2026. Shortlisted applicants hear on 26 November 2026 and attend an interview workshop on 14 or 15 December 2026; results by 18 December 2026.

Location
- Must be in Year 10, Year 11, Year 12 or Year 13.
- Applicants must be based in the Sheffield area.
- Applicants must be available for the selected dates and times.
- Applicants who have already completed the week-long placement with Sheffield Theatres are not eligible to reapply.
