Sherborne International's Pre-IGCSE / GCSE Summer School is an academic preparation course for international students who are starting or considering IGCSE/GCSE study. The course aims to give students the subject knowledge and study skills needed for success in I/GCSE programmes.
It is explicitly suitable for students aged 13 to 17 with English at CEFR B1 level or above.
Students select four subjects from a range including biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics (including further maths), business studies, ICT/computer science, history, geography, English and English literature, and also receive drama lessons. Each selected subject receives 6-7 lessons per week.
Students may attend for 2, 4 or 6 weeks and may keep the same four subjects for the whole stay or change subjects in different two-week sections (topics do not repeat).
Location
- International students starting (or thinking about starting) IGCSE or GCSE courses
- Have a good level of English already and want to push themselves a little more
- Are aged between 13 and 17
- Have a CEFR level of B1 and above
