**Social Media & Content Creation Try Before You Apply Taster Session** is a hands-on, two-hour workshop aimed at Year 11 to Year 13 students who are exploring next steps in social media, content creation and digital careers. The session gives a realistic introduction to the skills, platforms and creative thinking used by creators and brands, and is designed for students with curiosity and creativity - no prior experience or equipment required.
During the workshop participants will work on real-world briefs to create social content, explore video and photography ideas used by influencers and brands, and learn how storytelling and trends drive engagement. Practical activities and group work mean students get a taste of industry tasks and guidance on possible career or study routes.
The event takes place at Walsall College (Littleton Street West, Walsall WS2) on Tuesday 30 June 2026, 5:00 PM-7:00 PM (BST). Spaces are limited to 20 students. Free parking is available on site.
