A four-year degree apprenticeship combining on-the-job software engineering experience at MBDA with part-time university study. Apprentices will work across the Software Engineering Team and study towards a BSc (Hons) Digital & Technology Solutions (Software Engineer pathway) at Manchester Metropolitan University, attending university one day per week.

Day-to-day work includes designing, creating and testing software across platforms (Linux and Windows) using languages and tools such as C/C++, LabView and Java. The programme includes six 6-month placements across software departments in years 1-3 and a year-long placement in year 4, giving broad exposure to development methodologies and product areas.

The role is full-time (37 hours per week, Mondayriday) based at Lea Field Way, Bolton (BL5 1ED). The apprenticeship offers a salary of 18,750 per year, a 3,000 joining bonus, paid overtime and company benefits.
