Solent University fixed date taster days

Solent University runs a programme of on-campus fixed-date taster days aimed primarily at Year 12/13 and Level 3 students. These subject-specific events allow students to experience university-level teaching, use industry-standard facilities (for example virtual production stages, TV studios, nursing wards, music suites and the Institute of Technology), and hear from academics, industry professionals and alumni.

Events vary by subject and format: single-day showcases and hands-on workshops (for example Social Inequalities Conference; Health & Sport Showcase; Business, Marketing and Accountancy taster day), plus a two-day Creative Industries Week where students build portfolio-ready work across art, design, film, animation, games and media. Sessions include interactive simulations, practical projects and guided debates designed to deepen subject knowledge and support UCAS/portfolio development.
