Want to become a solicitor without uni debt? Join Freshfields’ six-year Solicitor Apprenticeship in London: work on real client matters from day one, study at BPP, rotate practice groups and build legal skills, commercial awareness and professional experience.

Deadline in 45 days

Join Freshfields' six-year Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme based in the London office, combining practical experience with study at BPP University. You will work on real client matters from day one, gaining legal knowledge, commercial awareness and professional experience while being supported by supervisors, mentors and the Early Careers team.

During years one to four you will rotate annually across practice groups, spend four days a week in the London office and one day a week studying for your Law LLB at BPP's Waterloo campus. In years five and six you will join the Trainee Associate Programme cohort, complete three-month rotations across practice areas, have opportunities for secondments (including international placements) and focus on SQE preparation with dedicated study leave.

The programme offers a competitive starting salary, a sign-on bonus to assist with travel and accommodation, full tuition coverage and a broad benefits package. It is designed for applicants who meet the academic and residency eligibility criteria and who are committed to qualifying and building a career in law.

Qualification Outcome

Law LLB (studied at BPP University) during years 1-4; progression to the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) in years 5-6 leading to qualification as a Solicitor.
