Shadow professionals across hospital wards and departments for one to five days. Watch real work in action, see teamwork and leadership in practice, and ask about different NHS roles.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers work experience placements that give students an insight into careers in the NHS. The programme is designed to help build a CV, increase understanding of day-to-day work in a hospital setting, and support future decisions about education and career pathways.
Placements involve shadowing and observing real work situations across a wide range of wards and departments. Participants can watch professionals at work, see the importance of teamwork and leadership, and ask questions about different job roles within the Trust.
The Trust can arrange placements for those aged 15 and over, although some departments have additional age restrictions. Work experience is a structured programme lasting one to five days, and applicants are expected to speak to their school or college careers adviser first before completing the application form and sending it to the Trust.
Free to take part.
