CGFX Festival is a university taster day from Southampton Solent University focused on games, animation, CGI and VFX. It is designed to give school and college students a glimpse into creative careers and university-level study in the digital and creative industries.
The day brings together industry professionals, successful alumni and creative experts to share talks, insights and real-world experiences. Students can learn what it is like to work in creative industries, explore the skills and workflows behind games, films and digital experiences, and discover different career pathways into the sector.
Participants also get to explore Solent’s specialist facilities, including animation suites and a Virtual Production stage, to see how creative talent is developed in practice. The event combines inspiration, industry insight and hands-on learning in an on-campus setting.
