Southampton Solent University Health & Social Care Taster Day

Southampton Solent University’s Health & Social Care Taster Day gives students a hands-on introduction to studying and working in this area. The event is designed to help young people explore what it is like to learn in a university environment while getting a clearer picture of the careers available across health and care settings.

Students take part in practical workshops led by the Nursing, Social Work and Biomedical Science teams. These activities are designed to build confidence, encourage questions and give attendees a better understanding of the different professions and the courses that prepare graduates for them.

It is a supportive, engaging taster experience for school and college groups considering future study or careers in the sector.
