Southern Water is recruiting two Category Specialist Apprentices to join its Procurement team based at either the Falmer or Durrington offices. This two-year apprenticeship combines on-the-job experience with classroom learning.

Apprentices will support sourcing, supplier management, contract management, data analysis and stakeholder engagement while working alongside experienced procurement professionals.

The programme includes training in market analysis, commercial strategy, negotiation, supplier relationship management and procurement systems. Apprentices will work 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday) with a hybrid working pattern of 2-3 days per week in the office and the remainder from home.

On successful completion you will achieve a Level 4 CIPS qualification and be eligible to apply for a permanent role within the Procurement team.

Southern Water encourages applicants from all backgrounds and states no prior experience is required. The role may include participation in out-of-hours incident support rotas as discussed at interview.

The apprenticeship offers clear progression opportunities within the department and ongoing professional development beyond completion.
