Join the University of Birmingham for the SportExR Outreach Taster Day to discover Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences through hands-on activities and expert insight. The event showcases the department's facilities and research strengths and is aimed at students exploring study and career options in sport, physiotherapy, nutrition and related health sciences.
During the day you'll attend an introductory lecture, observe a live VO₂max test and learn about fitness testing techniques, take part in an introduction to physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and hear about sports nutrition and athlete fuel strategies. There will be interactive practical sessions, opportunities to meet current students, and optional campus tours so you can see teaching and research spaces first-hand.
The event takes place on campus at the Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences building, University of Birmingham, Edgbaston. It is intended for school students and prospective undergraduates wanting to learn more about studying and working in sport and health sciences.
