The Sports Business Academy at UCLA Anderson is a two-week summer institute for high school students designed to introduce participants to the business of sport. Based in Los Angeles, the program covers foundational business principles (finance, marketing, strategy, economics) alongside sports management and operations, with visits and contextual learning tied to local major venues.
Students engage in morning lessons, afternoon applied sessions, and meet industry professionals.
Learners work on a capstone project and deliver a final presentation to demonstrate problem-solving and presentation skills. The program offers both residential (boarding) and day options, includes supervised campus life, structured daily schedules, and opportunities for excursions tied to course themes.
Participants receive a course performance summary, instructor feedback, and a certificate of completion; credit-bearing classes include grade reports and transcript instructions where applicable.
The academy provides international student support (visa assistance and an international registration fee), campus housing for residential students, transportation for included activities, and 24/7 on-site supervision to ensure student safety and a structured experience.
