The Staffordshire Police Work Experience Insights Programme is an annual, in-person work experience opportunity for school and college students who want to learn more about policing and consider a future career in the police service. It is designed to give participants a practical understanding of modern policing, the challenges involved, and the wide range of roles available across the organisation.
During the week, students take part in interactive sessions delivered by different teams across Staffordshire Police. Activities may include police dogs, investigations, roads policing, firearms, forensics and 999 call taking.
The programme is intended for students who are seriously considering policing as a career and want a hands-on insight into the profession.
The placement takes place at Staffordshire Police Headquarters in Stafford, and participants must attend in person for the full week. Students should approach the programme with enthusiasm, respect and professionalism, and they need to apply online through the application form.
Places are limited and selection is based on the information provided in the application.
