Stage and Screen Combat Bootcamp is a four-day practical course for children and teenagers aged 6 to 16, giving participants the chance to learn safe, believable stage fighting and falling techniques. The course covers both armed (broadsword) and unarmed combat, fight choreography, partner communication and performance skills, taught by experienced tutors.
The bootcamp runs as two differentiated age cohorts (Age 11 16 and Age 6 10) across consecutive four-day blocks in Spring 2026. Each day runs 10:00 6:00 and the course culminates in practical performances; students who opt in can take an optional graded exam in the morning of Day 4 and receive a certificate and grade (Pass, Merit, Distinction) from the instructors.
Classes are held at the school's studios on Downside Road, Bristol. The course is led by Maisie Carter (MC_Combat) with junior lead instructor Emily Evans.
