Ready to lead on stage and behind the scenes? Apply for Stamford School Drama Scholarships to develop performance or technical design skills, gain stage experience across major productions, boost your uni/career prospects and represent the department as a scholar.

Stamford School's Drama Scholarship programme identifies and supports students with exceptional performance potential and also welcomes applicants interested in design or technical theatre. The scholarship is open to students from Year 9 upwards and scholars act as ambassadors for the Drama Department, contributing to the schools theatrical life across multiple productions each year.

Drama Scholars have priority within the co-curricular drama programme but are not excluded from other activities. Scholars are expected to study GCSE Drama; Sixth Form scholars receive specialist guidance and 1-2-1 support for applications to drama schools or university drama courses.

The programme includes access to workshops, trips, live theatrical events, termly challenges and an Autumn Term Scholars Showcase.

Auditions and interviews form part of the selection process: performers should prepare a two-minute memorised monologue from a published play, while designers should prepare a short presentation or portfolio of design ideas. Applicants will have an interview with the Director of Drama and may submit supporting materials such as exam certificates, photos or programmes.
