Help shape welcoming community activities while exploring volunteering across events, creative support, heritage, practical skills and green spaces. You could usher audiences, support workshops or care for the community garden through watering and planting.
Stanley Arts is recruiting volunteers to support its community work, with an established Garden Volunteer role already in place and further opportunities being developed over time. Volunteers may help shape future activities by sharing what interests them, suggesting how volunteering can feel welcoming and accessible, and taking part in small pilot activities as the programme evolves.
The areas currently being explored include events and performance, creative and production support, heritage and community activities, practical skills and administration, and green spaces. These roles could involve welcoming audiences, ushering, ticket checking, helping set up or reset spaces, supporting workshops and building tours, assisting with photography or design, or caring for the community garden through watering, planting and light garden tasks.
There are also some immediate seasonal opportunities, including helping to decorate the venue for Christmas, supporting front-of-house activity for a pantomime, and assisting with festive family events. People interested in volunteering can register their interest through the online form or by email, and Stanley Arts welcomes new and existing volunteers as well as people from local refugee and asylum seeker communities.
